Carol Baum, VP, Services and Technology, GISTICS and Owner, Chase Group Ltd.

A nationally-recognized technology leader, Carol leads the services and technology team of GISTCS. Her background includes more than 20 years of strategic business and information technology consulting, encompassing a wide range of industries. Her current focus includes design and implementation of systems for Digital Asset Management (DAM), Creative Procurement and Agency Governance, and Marketing Operations Management.
 

Gordon Castle, Managing Director, The Meadowdale Group

Gordon’s professional experience lies in technology and business operations in the media and entertainment industry with a background in strategy, operational efficiencies, R&D, production, technology planning, integration and business change. During his tenure at Turner Broadcasting, he worked in Turner Entertainment Networks, CNN Technology, Headline News, and CNN Graphics. Gordon left Turner Broadcasting in 2009. He recently launched The Meadowdale Group, a technology-consulting firm that works with new and traditional media companies. This is a technology-neutral firm that helps clients align existing and emerging technologies with business goals, gain efficiencies in complex operating systems, and conduct business, product, and opportunity analysis.
 

Joel Warwick, President, JAW Consulting

Joel draws from 20 years of experience with media and publishing technology in his consulting practice. He has led project teams for the last 10 years, developing content strategies and business cases as well as in the design and implementation of DAM systems and related technologies. Joel brings deep expertise and hands-on knowledge to a broad range of work such as strategic alignment, operational design, ROI benchmarking, systems implementation, and building DAM operations groups. His clients include, AARP, Adobe, Amway, CanWest, Capps Digital, ClearStory, E&J Gallo EMC, GM, Getty Images, GISTICS, IBM, Infosys, Nokia, NorthPlains, TeliaSonera, and Savvis. He holds a BS in Electronic Publishing and Imaging from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA, while also working as a pressman, retoucher, cameraman and page assembler. He is a color management expert and managed product development for Pantone, Radius, X-Rite, and LightSource.
 

John Horodyski, Dean of Academics and Instruction, Academy of Digital Asset Management and Managing Editor, Journal of Digital Asset Management

John consults on metadata and taxonomy design as well as teaches a graduate online course at San José State University in Digital Asset Management. John came from Electronic Arts, the largest videogame publisher in the world, where he managed the implementation of their global digital asset management system with more than 500,000 digital photographs and 2D and 3D art assets for creative and publishing needs. He has published professional articles on digital media and metadata as well as presented papers on metadata and video games at various conferences. He holds a Masters Archival Studies and Masters Library and Information Science from the University of British Columbia and is the Managing Editor to the Journal of Digital Asset Management.
 

Michael Moon, CEO, GISTICS

He and his team advise international-brand corporations on strategies for branding and digital asset management, including Boeing, Disney, Frank Russell Company, Gap, FCB, Hallmark, Hasbro, Leo Burnett, Nokia, SanomaWSOY, TeleSonera, Thomson Corporation, VF Corp, and Warner Bros.
